Visual Poetry - Word Collage App Reviews

This app works pretty good. Its a little different to use than wordle but quite nice. I dont know why it isnt mentioned in the app description but you can add your own photo as a background and fade it in or out to where you want it. Its a very unique feature. You can also make words that have your photo inside it, also very cool. And tho it wont export them as a png file its very easy to open in another program and use the wand to take out the background. Dont write it off without tring all the features. There are more choices at the top left, too.

Im a little disappointed because this is the same things that are on image chef+. 2 stars.

My students have really enjoyed creating visual poetry that they are so proud of!

Okay, color me stupid...I cant figure out how to "undo" a change I made to my poem or how to start a new one. Once I figure that out, I am certain to love this app...I enjoy the creative expression it allows, but I want to be able to "undo" when my creativity takes away from the creative expression.

I gave this app a three-star rating for two reasons: 1. It does appear to take a great deal of CPU power. I noticed that the apps responsiveness was increasingly becoming sluggish the longer I used it. I had 2.5 GB of available memory on my 16 GB iPad 3rd generation. 2. The apps description, and certain user comments, gave me the impression that the app generates a word cloud similar to the clouds generated by Wordl. That is not true. The cloud this app generates does not alter words based on the frequency of that word in the text. Stated differently, a standard Wordl word-cloud contains words that vary in size. The larger the word in the cloud, the greater number of times it appears in the text. Visual poetry does not do this. It merely rearranges the words into a variety of shapes, not much else. I did not want to give a 1-star rating because the apps developer may not have intended Visual Poetry to mimic the features of Wordl. In that case, the error was mine. Given that, I could not give a 5-star rating because of the sluggish responsiveness.

I like the creative freedom! If you want an app that will give you the freedom to beautifully design a poem, a message, or statement, Visual Poetry is that app. Dont restrict yourself to themes other apps provide for your message. Create your own unique message with endless possibilities for creativity. Go get it!

by Theophilus For the first time it crashed once and again. Had to disinstall and reinstall. It works fine now, but i have me fingers crossed for luck. Nevertheless It must be said the posibility to make your own drawings and keep old poems is great. It would be better if once u want them no more u could errase the one you do not want more.

This is a wonderful App. It allows One to create beautiful posters and messages. It is one of my favorite apps. I am very pleased with it.

This is one of the best text art apps Ive seen yet! I love the way words can be colored individually. Another excellent feature is that you can add additional text for emphasis, rotate the text and pinch it to any size. Although I would like to see more shapes, there are still quite a few to use for many occasions. Kudos to the developers!

Wish the was a Fleur De Lis shape. Will you add shapes in the future? Nice app!

Im using this on an iPad with the latest operating system for poetry. Only one preset allows the words to not be broken up. I can draw my own shape but the words still break up. I love that one preset image but I publish so cant use it repeatedly. I added a photo and discovered that the X to remove it doesnt work so had to delete and reinstall the application to get rid of it. Pinching, per the tips page doesnt work either.

Love this app! Makes great pics. Would love it even more if it was able to be edited for size so that they could be framed.

I was excited to get this app. It wasnt worth the $1.99.
